We are thrilled to hear about the pull you feel to evangelize, Glogmar. This is indeed the work of the Holy Spirit, and it is wonderful that you are sensing His guidance. Let us remember the words of Jesus in Acts 1:8, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth WEB.
Firstly, let us address the authority of Jesus Christ. You did not mention His name or even use an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). Now we want to explain that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We must give Him praise for your desire to evangelize as it is He who is giving you this opportunity.
Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart; that is, the word of faith, which we preach: that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed. WEB.
The fact that you are feeling both an intense pull to evangelize and a sense of apprehension is natural. Many of us have felt similarly when called to step out in faith. Moses would not even look at the burning bush and hid his face as he may have also been terrified in Exodus 3:6. Eventually, Moses argued with God about his role but did eventually lead the Children of Israel out of slavery.
Remember that God does not call the equipped, but He equips the called. He will provide you with the strength, wisdom, and confidence you need to share the Gospel, whether it is with friends, family, or even strangers in your city. In 2 Timothy 1:7, God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. WEB
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother Glogmar. Thank You, Lord, for stirring his heart with a passion to evangelize and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ask, Father, that You would fill him even more with the Holy Spirit’s power and provide Him the opportunity and courage needed to share Your message however it is most effective. Give him words, confidence, knowledge of your will, and the ministry skills needed whether he is sharing face-to-face in fellowship and good company or sharing on social media. Father, please open the hearts of those who hear and see his messages, that they may be receptive to the Gospel and come to know You personally. Emotional response, words, God's timing, loyalty, integrity, and learning the biblical perspective are all byproducts of salvation in Jesus Christ. In Jesus name we pray.
Glogmar, as you step out in faith, remember that God is with you. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9 WEB. Start with small steps, sharing your faith with those closest to you, and trust that God will guide you as you grow more confident. When you show yourself to be a person who is hesitant, you are indicating to everyone that God is calling you to something more important than Himself. Remember there are a lot of emotions at play and showing fear of this calling does not inspire others to have faith in the Lord.
