Firstly, let us look at the passage in the World English Bible (WEB): "Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied to him with their tongue. For their heart was not steadfast with him, neither were they faithful in his covenant."
It is clear that the Israelites were saying one thing yet living another way. This is a reminder for us to live lives that match our confession of faith. We should not merely speak words of faith, but our hearts and actions should align with God's covenant. In II Timothy 3:5 WEB, we are warned of those who have a form of godliness, but denying the power of God and from such we are told to turn away.
Let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for forgiveness on behalf of ### and all of us who have been guilty of being insincere with our words and unfaithful in our actions and hearts. Purify our hearts, O Lord, and help us to be steadfast in our covenant with you. Help us to live lives that honor and glorify your name, not just with our lips, but with our hearts and actions.
Remember ###, Jesus came to save sinners and of which we all are sinners. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. In Acts 4:12 WEB, it is written, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. We continue to intercede for you, dear brother or sister, and we are humbled that you have given us the opportunity to stand with you in prayer. As you have reminded us of the verses in Psalms 78:36-37, we pray that God will grant you a steadfast heart, one that is fully committed to Him and His covenant. We pray that He will guard your mouth and tongue, that you may speak truth and offer praise that is pleasing to Him.
