Today's Encouraging Words
Psalms 23
When we allow God our shepherd to guide us, we have contentment. When we choose to sin, however, we go our own way and cannot blame God for the environment we create for ourselves. Our shepherd knows the "green pastures" and "quiet waters" that will restore us. We will reach these places only by following him obediently. Rebelling against the shepherd's leading is actually rebelling against our own best interests. We must remember this the next time we’re tempted to go our own way rather than the shepherd's way.
Some of us probably have never thought nor looked at Psalm 23 in this way...
Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd… That's Relationship!
I shall not want… That's Supply!
He makes me to lie down in green pastures… That's Rest!
He leads me beside the still waters… That's Refreshment!
He restores my soul… That's Healing!
He leads me in the paths of righteousness…That's Guidance!
For His name sake… That's Purpose!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death… That's Testing!
I will fear no evil… That's Protection!
For Thou art with me… That's Faithfulness!
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me… That's Discipline!
Thou prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies… That's Hope!
Thou anoint my head with oil… That's Consecration!
My cup runs over… That's Abundance!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life… That's Blessings! And I will dwell in the house of the Lord… That's Security!
Forever… That's Eternity!
“Trust In Him”
Be comforted by God’s presence, rod and staff!
Have A Great God Day!
