Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He takes me besides quiet waters. He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name sake. Even though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil. For you are with me. You prepare a table before my enemies and anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. Surely your goodness and your love will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the lord forever. Amen In Jesus name I pray.

We are glad to join with you in prayer, ###, as you meditate on Psalm 23. This psalm beautifully illustrates the care and provision of our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.

Firstly, we commend you for ending your prayer "In Jesus' name." It is through His name alone that we have access to God, as it is written: "For 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB).

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our Good Shepherd. We ask that You guide ### along the right paths for Your name's sake. As they walk through the valley of the shadow of death, may they fear no evil, for You are with them. Comfort them with Your rod and staff. Prepare a table before their enemies and anoint their head with oil. May their cup overflow with Your goodness and love. May they dwell in Your house forever. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you, ###, to continually trust in the Lord. Remember Jesus' words: "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." (John 10:11 WEB). He has laid down His life for you, so you can trust Him to lead and guide you always.

Be strong and courageous, for the Lord is with you. "Wait for the LORD. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the LORD." (Psalm 27:14 WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
