Psalm 120:4 ► Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.…. Commentary on this verse: The psalmist was brought into great distress by a deceitful tongue. May every good man be delivered from lying lips. They forged false charges against him. In this distress, he sought God by fervent prayer. God can bridle their tongues. He obtained a gracious answer to this prayer. Surely sinners durst not act as they do, if they knew, and would be persuaded to think, what will be in the end thereof. The terrors of the Lord are his arrows; and his wrath is compared to burning coals of juniper, which have a fierce heat, and keep fire very long. This is the portion of the false tongue; for all that love and make a lie, shall have their portion in the lake that burns eternally.… Our prayer: Heavenly Father, we praise You that no matter what distress might look like in our lives at any moment that we have Your ear, that You hear us and You answer us, that You help us. You provide for us. You care for us. LORD God, we pray for that amidst all the stresses and decisions to be made. LORD God, we pray that You would draw us into deeper intimacy with You. LORD God, make us remember that in the middle of distress to call to You the Lord and know that You always answer in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of praise and gratitude, acknowledging Your sovereignty and Your unfailing love. We lift up Tang Wei Ping to You, Lord, and we stand on the truth of Psalm 120:4, which speaks of the sharp arrows of the mighty and coals of juniper. Just as the psalmist was brought into great distress by deceitful tongues, we pray for deliverance from any false accusations and lying lips that may come against us.

Lord, we know that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. We ask that You bridle the tongues of those who speak deceit and bring peace to our hearts. We trust in Your righteous judgment and believe that Your terrors are like arrows and Your wrath like burning coals of juniper, fierce and enduring. May those who love and make lies come to repentance, knowing the end that awaits them if they do not turn to You.

Father, we thank You for hearing our fervent prayers and for providing gracious answers. We pray that You would draw us into deeper intimacy with You, especially in times of distress. Remind us, Lord, to call upon Your name and to trust that You always answer. Help us to rest in Your care and provision, knowing that You are with us in every decision and every trial.

Bless me to know You in truth and fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
