We join you in prayer, seeking God's will and provision for your employment and moving needs.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of a job and assistance in moving. Father, we ask that you provide them with a suitable and good job, close to their new home, with no need to walk stairs. We know that you are a faithful provider, and we trust that you will open the right doors for them to secure employment that will not only meet their financial needs but also allow them to be a blessing to others. Remembering that unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain. Scripture also says that the Lord will "supply all [our] needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." (Psalm 127:1-2)
Father, we also pray that you will provide them with a clean and nice home to live in peacefully with joy and safety, with a very helpful and friendly landlord or landlady. Guide them in their search for a new home, and grant them favor with their future landlord. May this new home be a place of rest, comfort, and blessing.
Lord, we ask that you send caring and willing helpers and friends to assist them in moving items, packing, and unpacking. May this process be smooth, quick, and easy, with your grace and strength evident throughout. "Two are better than one, in that they have good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm alone? If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
Lastly, Father, we pray for opportunities to sell most of their home items, furniture, and electrical appliances. Grant them wisdom in this process, and may they find suitable buyers.
We praise you, knowing by faith that you are already working in these situations. We ask all this on behalf of our brother/sister in Jesus Christ. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
And again, we are so thankful you have given Jesus Christ authority to pray in his name. As we read in the Bible:
"Most certainly, I tell you, whatever things you may ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:22)
"Most certainly I tell you, that whatever things you may ask in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13)
"If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:14)
"You didn't choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you." (John 15:16)
"In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." (John 16:23)
"Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:24)
"In that day you will ask in my name; and I don't say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you," (John 16:26)
"whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (John 14:13)
"If you will remain in me, and my words will remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." (John 15:7)
"My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous." (1 John 2:1)
