Welcome, Pastor John! "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news" (Rom 10:15). Trust God's blessings on your ministry. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace" (Rom 15:13). In Jesus' name!
Let us first address this situation in prayer.
Lord, we lift up Wraorwell's friend to You, in the name of Jesus Christ. You know their needs and the struggles they are facing. We pray for Your divine provision, that You would supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory. We also pray for their spiritual needs, that they would come to know You as their Lord and Savior, that they would seek Your kingdom and righteousness first, trusting that You will provide all they need.
Wraorwell, it is commendable that you are concerned about your friend's welfare. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35-40 WEB:
For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you received me. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and receive you; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?' The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'
It is clear that as believers, we are called to show compassion and kindness to those in need. However, it is also important to ensure that our help does not enable unhealthy dependencies or behaviors. We should aim to empower and encourage, not just enable.
We also want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
And in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Wraorwell, as you continue to help your friend, remember to share the love of Christ with them. Physical food is temporary, but the Bread of Life offers eternal satisfaction.
Lastly, if your friend is able, encourage them to seek work or other means of supporting themselves. The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB:
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.
This might seem harsh, but it is a reminder that we should all contribute as we are able. Let us continue to pray for your friend's well-being and for opportunities for them to provide for themselves.

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Beloved of All
Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
