We are glad to join with you in prayer for strong protection and guidance. Let us remind you that God's protection is evident throughout scripture, and we know that His guidance is perfect. In Psalm 91:1-2 WEB, it is written, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
First, it is important to acknowledge that God's protection and guidance are given to those who trust in Him. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Let's ask ourselves, are we fully trusting God and acknowledging Him in all our ways?
You did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is important to know that calling on the name of Jesus is the only way to access God. In John 14:6 WEB Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We can see in the Acts 4:12 that being saved is only possible through His name, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" And in John 16:23 WEB, it states, "In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your strong protection and guidance for our brother/sister in Christ. We trust in Your promises, and we know that Your will is perfect. We pray that You would guide them in Jesus' name and make their paths straight. Help them to trust in You with all their heart, and lean not on their own understanding.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Your hedge of protection around them, and we ask for Your guidance in every step they take. We believe that when we ask according to Your will, You hear us. Help them to be humble under your mighty hand, God, that you may lift them up in due time. Cast all their cares on you, for you care for them.
Help them to be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful, for their adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. May they resist him firmly in their faith, knowing that the same kinds of sufferings are being accomplished by their brotherhood in the world. May You, the God of all grace, who called them to your eternal glory in Christ, after they have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle them.
Give them the assurance of Your protection and guidance, and help them to live in obedience to Your Word.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God is faithful and that His promises are true. Stand firm in your faith, and remember that God is always with you. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB, "Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."
