We are glad to join you in prayer for strong protection and guidance. We are reminded in Psalm 91:1-2 WEB, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
Firstly, we need to ensure that this request is being made with the understanding that it's only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved, receive guidance, and be protected. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If this prayer request is not directed to God through the name of Jesus Christ, then salvation should be prayed for and the basic salvation message should be explained.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection and guidance for Your child. We pray that You would surround them with Your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12). We also pray that Your Holy Spirit would guide them in all wisdom and teach them, Your servant, to do Your will (Psalm 143:10).
Lord, we ask that You would guide them in the way of righteousness, for Your name's sake (Psalm 23:3). We pray that You would make their way clear, and lead them in the path that You have chosen for them. We also pray Psalm 37:5 WEB over them, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:"
Father, we also ask that You would give them strength and courage to face any trials or temptations that may come their way. We pray that You would help them to put on the whole armor of God, that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
We encourage everyone to stay strong in the faith, and to trust in the Lord with all their heart, and do not lean on their own understanding. In all their ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make their paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
If there are any areas in their life that do not align with biblical principles, we urge them to repent and turn back to God from those areas. We rebuke any ungodly actions and pray for the Holy Spirit to convict them of any sin. Remember that God is faithful and just. He will forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
