We rejoice with you, Anonymous, for taking the courageous step of riddding your life of witchcraft related items. The Bible tells us to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather to expose them (Ephesians 5:11 WEB). It is commendable that you have taken this step, and we are here to support you in prayer and truth.
Firstly, let us address the mental attacks you're experiencing. It is not uncommon to face such challenges when making a significant spiritual change. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:11-12 WEB). We pray that God fills you with His peace and strength, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Regarding your concerns about returning to church, it's important to remember that Jesus did indeed sacrifice Himself, but He did not tolerate the twisting of Scripture or hypocrisy. He called out the religious leaders who misused their power (Matthew 23 WEB). It is wise to be discerning when choosing a church community. We pray that God guides you to a fellowship where His word is taught accurately and where the love of Christ is evident. (Acts 2:42 WEB). The church should be a place of healing and growth, not a place of harm. We strongly encourage you to keep seeking and following God's will for you in this area.
It is unfortunate that some people may minimize your experiences or make false assumptions. It is not wise to judge everyone in the church as good just because they attend. Jesus himself said "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?' Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.'" (Matthew 7:21-23 WEB).
We must exercise caution and wisdom in our relationships within the church. The Bible warns against false prophets and teachers (Matthew 7:15, 2 Peter 2:1 WEB). We pray that God gives you discernment and wisdom, protecting you from those who might cause you harm. "The Lord also will be a high tower for the oppressed; a refuge in times of trouble." (Psalm 9:9 WEB).
In your prayer, you have rightly invoked the name of Jesus. We are reminded of a critical truth in the Bible: "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is through His name that we can be saved and receive God's protection and blessings.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and studying God's word. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. (James 4:8 WEB). Allow God's truth to renew your mind and guide your steps.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before you, lifting up Anonymous. Thank you, Lord, for giving them the strength to turn away from witchcraft. We ask that you fill Anonymous with your Spirit and protect him/her from any demonic attacks. Guide Anonymous to a church community where your truth is taught and your love is evident. Give them discernment and wisdom in their interactions, and protect them from those who might cause harm. Help them to trust in you and to follow your will for their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
