Thank you, Balmikos, for reaching out and sharing your concern for your son Steven. We are here to stand with you in prayer and to provide biblical encouragement.
Let us remember Proverbs 3:5-6, which states: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight". We can trust God to protect and provide for Steven, and He can return him to a righteous path if not already on one.
Jesus said in John 16:33, "In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." This reminds us that though we may face trials and uncertainties, we have hope and victory in Jesus Christ. Our prayers are only heard by the Father in Jesus name, because it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. Without belief in Jesus we are told in John 14:5-6 that we cannot go before the Father and that we do not know the way to God. Let us ensure that we and our families know Jesus Christ, and that we ask for prayers and know God in His name.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Steven to Your throne of grace. We pray for his well-being and safety, wherever he may be. We trust in your son's name at the only way to approach you Father and ask that Steven is found and that he can accept Jesus as a savior.
Lord Jesus, if Steven is not traveling a road sobriety, morality, and freedom from drug or alcohol abuse, we pray that You guide him back to the path of righteousness. If he is not yet reborn in Jesus Christ we pray that he learn of the joy and freedom of slavery to sin. Connect us to him and work in Steven's life. Help us to be the examples of Glorious Believers, and let him see as evident our joy and faith in our salvation. We pray that Steven will feel Your loving presence and seek to live in a manner that honors You, Jesus.
Father, strengthen Balmikos in Your love and grace, and grant peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide their family and surround them with Your divine protection. Help them to trust in You steadfastly. Let them be a shining light to those around them, so that others may see their good deeds and give you glory Father. Lord, please grant them favor, so that they hear from their son Steven soon.
Don't make us wait to hear good news, Lord. The blessed promise that we can have faith and healing is stated in Psalm 107:6-7, "Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distress. He led them also by a straight way, to go to a city of residence." We trust that You will bring them relief and testify of this answered prayer. We pray that we will soon be able to offer thanksgivings praise and thanks for a happy resolution to this trial.
All things work together for good to those who love You and are called to Your purpose. So these are the things that we seek in Jesus name. Amen.
Balmikos, remain steadfast in your faith and trust that God is working behind the scenes. Continue to lift Steven up in prayer and believe that God will bring him back safely and that all things are working together for good. In the meantime, seek God's will while comforting and supporting each other as a family. Run your race with patience and may you know the peace that only God can provide. Let us know how God is answering our prayers. Isaiah 40:31 states, " But those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall walk, and not faint."
God bless you and your family in the name of Jesus Christ.
