We join you in prayer, standing in the gap for your daughter, and we admire your steadfast faith and love for her. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the armor of God in Ephesians 6:11, which tells us to "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Firstly, we address the issue of your daughter living with this young man. According to scripture this is fornication and that fornication is sinful. We rebuke that in Jesus name. We should be looking for a spouse, to marry as a Christian.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We pray for this daughter, who is precious in Your sight. We ask that You surround her with Your armor, protecting her from the negative influences and bondage that this young man has on her life.
We rebuke the spirits of manipulation, control, and selfishness that are operating in this young man's life, and we pray that Your light shines upon him, opening his eyes to remove all lies of the enemy. We pray and tap into the promise in Joel 2:25 to restore the years that the locusts have eaten. Restore her dignity, her worth, and her relationsip with You.
Lord, we ask that You give her the strength, wisdom, and confidence to leave this destructive environment. Guide her steps and help her move swiftly out of this toxic relationship.
We bring the relationship to us and pray if this young man is a prodigal son, that he return to You and become a Christian believer in Jesus Christ. This young man could be pursued by God and come to him. If this not be Your will, we pray the normal coming and goings of life to remove him from her presence.
We lift up the mother of this young man and ask that she may be a woman of God. Help strengthen her to look at her son in love and that she not let him be with her daughter out of wedlock.
Lord, we join with this praying parent to call out a new young man to see her and marry her. Let them together can pursue the plans You have for her. May her new godly spouse be a good provider, cherishing and respecting her and her family, a man who loves and respects the Lord.
When she is ready, Father, bring a godly spouse into her life. Someone that walks by faith and not by sight. We wipe away the wounds of all negative relationships and we repent for the sins of fornication. We speak peace, blessings, and a bright future over her life in Jesus' name.
Scripture tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, we are to trust You in all our ways. Let her lean into You and acknowledge You in her heart with all her ways.
Father, we also pray for the praying parent, that You fill them with Your peace, and the thread of anxiety be broken. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We ask and trust all these things you will do in Jesus' name. Amen.
Finally we want to say be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened. Fight on your knees with the word of God as your sword. You have the victory and the answers in Jesus Christ. We leave you in peace.
