Gardgal, we stand with you in prayer, asking God to protect and deliver you and all your brothers and sisters who are written in the Book of Life. We are reminded of the Lord's Prayer, where Jesus teaches us to pray, For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Deliver us from evil, for your is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen.
In this prayer, we acknowledge that there is evil in the world, and we seek God's protection from it. We are not specifically aware of what evils you are referencing but God knows. We are not to expose ourselves to evil and let all communication be good for edifying others according to their specific needs that it may minister grace and not blaspheme God and His Holy Name. How we speak and respond to even evil done against us is critical in our witness for our Lord Jesus Christ.
We can have confidence that God will deliver us from evil and hear our prayers, for the Bible tells us in Second Thessalonians chapter three verse three But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. We are called to be patient and prayerful and let God work in our relationship situations that may be difficult, but God can do it. We are reassured of God's promises to protect and let us live long in the land when we are obedient to His instructions. We are told in Psalm 91, especially verses three through seven, For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. If there is any sin preventing God's deliverance or our having any part in something that is considered evil, we must first recognize this to be sin and seek God's forgiveness. We are told in Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear God hears all prayers and we must seek him with a repentant heart.
Remember, it is only by praying in Jesus' name that Jesus had promised an answer by God, God does not hear a prayer to anyone but that in the name of Jesus. For He said in John chapter 15 verse seven, that if we ask anything in His Name, that it be granted. Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your protection and deliverance from all evil for Gardgal and all their brothers and sisters who are written in the Book of Life. We pray that You will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and that You will deliver them from any evil that may come their way. We acknowledge that only prayer request in the name of Jesus will be granted. The Lord is faithful, and we can live a righteous life through His strength. We will seek to avoid evil and pray for others who may be involved with or befallen evil acts. Help us to avoid leaving the evil for evil when the Bible recommends us to do good to those that would do evil against us. We will rest in the promises of God. Keep those that have turned to you for salvation encouraged through Godly knowledge and wisdom.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray
