We understand your concern for safety, and we are here to pray and offer guidance. Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
In Psalm 46:1 WEB it is written, Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas.
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. WEB Therefore we have hope underprivileged circumstance.
If you are feeling unsafe it is not God's plan. You should do all you can do to have access to ample lighting from lamps, make sure you are not the one who is opening the door to people approaching, and look for opportunities to be more visible to others and avoid putting yourself in danger. If you need to alert police then please do so. Even while we trust God at all times we use wisdom in all of our decisions. If there are opportunities to use wisdom in improving safety, doing that while seeking God's guidance, is also a form of trusting in God using wisdom. Therefore, let's pray together:
Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, pleading for the safety of this child of Yours. We know You are faithful, and Your love protects those who trust in You. We ask, Father, that You station Your angels around them, as stated in Psalm 34:7, The angel of Yahweh encamps round about those who fear him, and delivers them.
Father, give them wisdom and guidance. Show them the way to a safer environment, and provide the means for them to make that change.
We also pray for the drug dealers and addicts in their neighborhood, Father. We know that You desire for all to come to repentance. May Your grace and mercy reach them, and may they turn from their ways and find new life in Christ.
In the meantime, Father, hide them under the shadow of Your wings, as written in Psalm 91:4, He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings, you will find refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who died so that we may live. Amen.
We encourage you to keep praying and trusting in God. Also remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33 WEB, I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
Lastly, remember it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. This is mentioned in the New Testament in
John 14 6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
This is the same person who died by crucifixion and took our place on the cross. In three days He came back to life. Anyone who puts faith in Him shall have eternal life. And to anyone who would call out to Him for salvation, we have read in
Joel 2 32 WEB, It will happen that whoever will call on the name of Yahweh shall be saved.
Also in
Romans 10 13 WEB, For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
