We join with you, CJL80, in lifting up your request for protection over your marriage, home, pets, family members, job, car, and your future. It is so important that you have included that this request is in Jesus' name, as it is only through His name that we can approach God the Father and be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In your prayer request you mentioned many things, individuals, and situations to be prayed over. Right away we are reminded from 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. This means all things should be prayed for and considered worthy to bring before God.
We stand with you praying for Gods protection and guidance over your marriage. From Ephesians 5:22-33 we learn that marriage is to be held in the highest regard and exemplify the relationship between Christ and the Church. Both the husband and wife have roles that complement each other. The wife should submit and respect her husband while both should be a type that represents agape love to their spouse, as outlined in 1 Corinthians 13.
Specifically mentioned as in need of prayer is your job. Pray that you always remember to work as not for man but as unto God. From Colossians 3:22-25 WEB we are instructed, Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God. And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.
Also included in your prayer are your cars and home. It is appropriate to ask for God to protect and bless us, but let us not fall into the trap of worshiping possessions. From Matthew 6:19-24 it is said, Do not lay up treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves do not break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The light of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Mammon.
Finally, you asked God eases us through this and we come out of it unharmed. The phrase unharmed inspired the following verse from Romans 8:38-39 WEB. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Lord, in the name of Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our fellow believer's request for protection. We pray for Your divine covering and guidance over their marriage, home, pets, family, job, cars, and future. Help them to trust in You. As the virus, diseases, storms, power, adultery, lust, coveting, selfishness, pride, or anything of this world rages on, help them to stand firm in their faith. Guard their hearts and minds with Your peace. Strengthen their resolve to follow Your will. May they rest in the confidence that in Jesus it will be well with you, that nothing will come close to separate them from Your love.
And so, we count on saying Amen!
