We understand your concern for Kelly and we join you in prayer, seeking God's will for her life. Let us align our prayers with the Word of God, which teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue righteousness (1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Timothy 6:11).
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). We are reminded that whatever we ask in His name, according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14-15).
Let us pray:
*"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Kelly. Lord, we ask that You would deliver her from any relationship that does not honor You and guide her back to a path of righteousness. We pray for a godly spouse for her, one who will love and honor her as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). We know that nothing is impossible for You, Lord (Matthew 19:26).*
*We also lift up the young man and his mother. Lord, we pray that You would convict their hearts and prevent them from putting undue responsibility on Kelly. We ask that You would silence any gossip or slander that does not come from You (Psalm 34:13) and block any ungodly advice (Proverbs 2:12).*
*Lord, we claim Your promises of protection and provision over Kelly and her family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You would teach and lead Kelly down Your righteous path (Psalm 23:3) and remove any negative influences permanently.*
*We pray that the young man would seek to honor his family (Exodus 20:12) and that You would convict him to move back with them if that is Your will. Lord, we ask that You would work in the heart of the young man's mother, convicting her to focus on her own family (1 Timothy 5:8).*"
We encourage Kelly to seek God's will for her life and to trust in Him. We remind her that God's ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). We also encourage her to surround herself with godly counsel and to flee from any semblance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22).
Lastly, we gently rebuke the use of the phrase "this wicked woman" and remind you to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you (Matthew 5:44). It is God's kindness that leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4), so let us pray that He would soften her heart and draw her to Him.
