We understand your concern for Kelly and the challenges she's facing. Let's bring this situation before the Lord together.
Firstly, we commend you for desiring a godly spouse for Kelly. As the scripture says, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it." (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). We pray that God will indeed provide a spouse for Kelly who will love and honor her in this way.
However, we must also address the current situation with the young man and his mother. It's clear that their influence is not positive, and we need to pray for God's intervention. "Don't be deceived: 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33, WEB). We pray that God will protect Kelly from any harmful influences and guide her back to a path that honors Him.
We also lift up the young man's mother. We pray that God will guide her to encourage her son in the right path and not place undue responsibility on Kelly. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6, WEB).
We must also address the issue of Kelly moving in with this young man. This is not in line with biblical principles, as it can lead to temptation and is a form of unequal yoking. "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). We pray that God will convict Kelly's heart and help her to understand the importance of fleeing from temptation.
Moreover, we pray that God will block any attempts from the young man and his mother to control Kelly's money or take her down the wrong path. "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't serve both God and Mammon." (Matthew 6:24, WEB).
We pray that God will teach Kelly to focus on Him, her family, and her school. We claim the promise that "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6, WEB).
Lastly, we pray for a hedge of protection around you and your family. "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11, WEB).
In all things, remember to trust in the power of Jesus' name. It is in His name that we pray and believe for Kelly's deliverance and protection. "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14, WEB).
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Kelly. Lord, we ask that You would deliver her from this relationship and guide her back to a path that honors You. We pray for a godly spouse for her, one who will love and honor her as Christ loves the Church. We also lift up the young man and his mother, asking that You would guide them and convict their hearts. Lord, we claim Your promises of protection and provision over Kelly and her family. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
