In times of uncertainty, we can always trust in the Lord to guide us and provide the wisdom we need. You've asked for guidance in explaining an uncertain future to your children, and we want to assure you that God is faithful to equip you with the right words. As it says in Luke 12:11-12 WEB, "When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don’t be anxious how or what you will answer, or what you will say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say."
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and it is by the Holy Spirit that we are able to receive the guidance, grace, and mercy that we need in our lives. As the scripture says: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB)
When talking to your children, remember that God calls us to trust Him even when we don't know what the future holds. Share with them the promise in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, "'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'" Assure them that God has a plan and that He is in control.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this parent and their family. Lord, we ask that You fill them with the Holy Spirit, granting them the wisdom and discernment needed to navigate these uncertain times. Guide their conversations with their children, and give them the grace and mercy to explain the upcoming changes with love and patience.
Protect the hearts and minds of their children, Lord. Comfort them and help them to trust in You, even when the future is unclear. We pray for mercy for all involved in this situation, that Your will be done, and that You would be glorified through it.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, knowing that God is with you and your family. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
