Oh ###, we understand your frustration and distress. Let us first address the issue of your adult children taking clothing that does not belong to them. The Bible teaches us the importance of honesty and respect for others' property. In Ephesians 4:28 WEB, it says, "Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need."
We must rebuke this behavior, for it is akin to theft, even among family members. Your children should understand that taking others' belongings without permission is wrong. We pray that they will be convicted of this and change their ways.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and their family. Lord, we ask that You intervene in this situation. Convict the hearts of their adult children, that they may understand the wrongfulness of their actions and make amends. Teach them the value of honesty and respect for others' property. Guide them to seek forgiveness and to make things right. IJN
Lord, we also pray for protection over ###'s belongings. In Psalm 127:1 WEB, it says, "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain."
Father, be the watchman over ###'s home. Protect their belongings from thieves and interlopers. Give them peace and security in their home. Guide them to take wise precautions, and trust in Your ultimate protection. IJN
Lastly, ###, we encourage you to speak openly and honestly with your children about this issue. Share with them the biblical principles of honesty and respect. Pray with them and for them, that their hearts may be turned towards God and towards what is right.
Trust in the Lord, for He is faithful. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
In all things, remember to approach God through the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this.
