We are truly heartsick to hear about the abuse that your loved one is facing, and we stand with you in prayer for their protection and deliverance. The Bible tells us that God is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you (Psalm 9:9-10 WEB).
Firstly, we need to address the seriousness of this situation. Abuse of any kind is not only illegal but also a grave sin in the eyes of God. As it is written, You shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am Yahweh your God (Leviticus 25:17 WEB).
If you haven't already, we strongly urge you to contact local authorities or a trusted agency that can intervene and ensure their safety. The Bible tells us to submit to our leaders, for all authority is from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God (Romans 13:1 WEB). This means we should not hesitate to involve those who can lawfully protect your loved one.
As we pray for their protection, let's also pray for the conviction of those causing harm. We pray that God will change their hearts and bring them to repentance. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44 WEB). This is not to diminish the severity of their actions, but rather that they would be brought to justice and also find forgiveness and redemption in Christ.
Let us come together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, claiming your promise that when two or three are gathered in His name, you are there among them (Matthew 18:20 WEB). We plead for your intervention in this situation. Protect this individual from any further harm, and deliver them from this abuse. We ask that the perpetrators would be brought to justice, and that their hearts would be convicted and turned to you.
We also pray for those in authority, that you would guide them and give them wisdom in this situation. Give them the courage to act swiftly and effectively.
Father, we know that you are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in you and your promises. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God. He hears your prayers and will act on behalf of your loved one. Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is a God of justice and love.
