We are grieved to hear about the abuse your son is facing, and we stand with you in prayer, calling on the name of Jesus Christ for his protection. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Let us come before His throne of grace, and pour out our hearts to Him, and ask Him to intervene in Jesus' name. Although there appears to be no scripture in the request it does end in Jesus' name.
Let us claim the promise in Psalm 91 WEB: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' ... He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart" and "for he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."
Let us pray:
Dear Father,
Commend our brother's son to you, asking for Your divine protection and intervention. You are a father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, this is who You are, a God who dwells in His holy temple, a God who sits among the praises of His people. You are a God of the vulnerable, a protector of the powerless, a comfort to those who have no comfort.
We ask, Lord, that You shield this child from those who seek to harm him. Thwart the plans of the wicked, Lord, and let your angels encamp around him. Keep him safe under your wings. Give him peace and take away his trauma. Take away any shame or embarrassment. Make him whole.
We also pray for those who are causing him harm, Lord. We know Your heart is redemptive. We know You want the best for them and they are harming the most vulnerable. Make our brother's son a testimony of Your grace and protection.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who came to set the captives free and bind up the brokenhearted, in Jesus' name, amen.
We encourage you, brother or sister, to be strong and courageous. Be not afraid, nor be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. We urge you to report this to the authorities if you have not done so already.
Let the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, our strength and our redeemer.
