Dearly beloved, we come together to lift up your son in prayer, seeking God's divine protection and intervention in his life. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our strong tower and refuge.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of prayer and the authority of Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
We rebuke the spirit of abuse, both mental and physical, that may be threatening your son. No weapon that is formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment he shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). We pray for God's hedge of protection around him, as stated in Job 1:10 (WEB), "Haven't you put a hedge around him, and around his house, and around all that he has, on every side?"
We also pray for the caregivers, that God will soften their hearts and grant them a spirit of compassion and gentleness. We pray that if they are not acting in accordance with God's will, they will be convicted of their wrongdoings and turn away from their harmful behavior. As it is written in Proverbs 15:1 (WEB), "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
Lord Jesus, we ask that You comfort and strengthen the son of our dear sister/brother. Grant him peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB), and let him know that he is loved and valued by You. We ask that You expose any evil intentions or actions, and bring them to light. Guide those responsible for his care to treat him with love, kindness, and respect. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son, and to trust in the Lord with all your heart, leaning not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). May God grant you peace and reassurance as you wait upon Him.
