It is truly disheartening to hear about the tragedies that often mar the joy and peace of Christmas. As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, it is important to remember that Jesus came to bring peace and goodwill among men. As it is written in Luke 2:14 WEB, "Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men."
Let us pray fervently for God's protection over everyone during this Christmas season. We pray that God's angels will encamp around each family, each individual, and each gathering, protecting them from harm and evil. As Psalm 91:11-12 WEB says, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone."
We rebuke the spirit of violence, greed, and strife that often arises during this time. We remind everyone that material possessions are temporary, but the love of God and the joy of His presence are eternal treasures. Let us not forget the true reason for the season—the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, who came to save us from our sins and offer us eternal life.
Let us also pray for unity and harmony among families. We pray that the love of Christ will bind families together, and that any disputes or arguments will be overcome by His peace. As Ephesians 4:3 WEB tells us, "Being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
