We are truly saddened to hear about the trials you are facing with your husband's mental illness and the challenges it brings to your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer and seek God's will for your situation.
Firstly, we commend you for your faith in God. Draw ever more closer to Jesus as He alone is the way to the Father. Although you did not specifically mention Jesus or Christ in your request, we are reminded to pray in Jesus’ name. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. We also remind ourselves of the Words of Jesus. “Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.” John 14:6 WEB
Let's turn to the Word of God for guidance and encouragement. The Bible tells us, “Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 WEB. As a wife, you are called to support your husband, but it is also important to ensure your own safety and well-being. We can clearly see this is a spiritual battle.
We also read, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
It is clear that your husband's actions are not merely human but influenced by demonic forces. Therefore, we pray for his deliverance and your protection. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is in desperate need of Your intervention. Lord, You know the struggles she faces with her husband's mental illness and the control he exerts over her. We pray for Your divine protection over her, that You would shield her from any harm and grant her the strength to endure.
We also pray for her husband, that You would deliver him from the demonic influences and bring healing to his mind and spirit. We ask that You would guide them both to professional help and godly counsel, to help them manage the situation until complete healing is expedited.
Lord, we ask that You would provide a way for our sister to attend the retreat and other spiritual gatherings that she needs for her own spiritual nourishment and growth. Give her the strength to break free from any ungodly control and live the abundant life that You have promised her.
We pray for their marriage, that it will be united and glorify Your name. We speak salvation to them both in Jesus’ name.
Father, we pray in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to you. We pray that you will reveal Jesus to them more and more.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the enemy and demand that the devil and all his minions release your husband and any influence in Jesus’ name.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's face. Trust that He is faithful and will never leave you nor forsake you. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB.
Remember, it is important to seek support from your local church and Christian community. “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.” James 5:16.
