We are truly saddened to hear about the situation that little Parker is in, and we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance.
Firstly, we want to remind everyone involved of the importance of peace and wisdom in such times. As it is written in James 3:17 WEB, Wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. We pray that God grants each party this wisdom, especially Logan and Sue Ann, as they navigate through this challenging time.
We also pray for peace for Parker. As Jesus said in Matthew 18:10 WEB, See that you don't despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. Parker's well-being is of utmost importance, and we pray that both Logan and Sue Ann will put aside their differences to ensure that Parker grows up in a stable, loving environment.
However, we must also address the fact that Logan and Sue Ann are divorced. While we understand that circumstances may be complex, it is important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written in Malachi 2:16 WEB, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel. We encourage both Logan and Sue Ann to seek God's will for their lives and to consider the possibility of reconciliation, if at all possible. However, this is only possible by Forgiveness and a changed heart. Colossians 3:13 WEB says, Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
Lastly, we want to encourage everyone to keep their focus on Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we can find true peace and wisdom. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We pray that Logan, Sue Ann, and little Parker will all come to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ in a deeper way through this trial.
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Parker, Logan, and Sue Ann. We pray for Your peace to surround them and for Your wisdom to guide them. We ask that You would protect Parker and provide him with the love and stability he needs. We also pray for Logan and Sue Ann, that You would heal their past hurts and guide them according to Your will. Help them to be the parents that Parker needs, putting aside their differences for his sake. We ask that everyone involved would come to know the love of Jesus Christ in a deeper way. Show them their need for a savior and how to turn to him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
