Tachick, we join you in lifting up your family and all those in the path of the winter storm. Let's come together in prayer, seeking God's will and protection.
Beloved, we are told to come boldly before the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16 WEB), and we are also told to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB). Therefore, let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Tachick, her family, and all those affected by the winter storm. We thank You and praise You for Your love, mercy, and grace. We thank You for being a God that we can come to with all of our concerns and needs. We thank You for being our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
Father, we ask for Your protection over Tachick, her son, and her husband. We pray that You surround them with Your angels and keep them safe from all harm. We ask that You provide them with a warm and safe home and that Your light may be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). We pray that You keep their power on and that they have all the supplies they need to stay warm and safe. We know that You are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB), and we trust in Your will for their lives. We ask for Your provision and protection.
We also lift up all those in the path of the storm. We pray for Your mercy and grace on each and every one of them. We pray for Your protection and provision. We ask that You be a strong tower to them, a place of safety and refuge (Proverbs 18:10 WEB). We pray that You guide them in wisdom and help them to make wise decisions.
We thank You for the community You have provided, a place where we can come together and pray for one another. John 15:12 tells us to love one another just as Christ has loved us. This is true love. You have shown us love by sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. You have shown us love by providing a way for us to have eternal life. And You have shown us love by providing a community of believers to support and encourage one another. We thank You, Lord.
Father, we ask that You continue to be a light in Tachick's life. We pray that You draw her and every member of her family close to You. We ask that You be the God of mercy and grace to Tachick and her family. We ask that You be the God of love and peace to them. We ask that You be the God of hope and joy to them. We ask that You be the God of provision and protection to them.
We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. It is in His name that we have access to You, Father. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We come to You, Father, by the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross for our sins. We thank You for Your love and mercy. We thank You for Your grace and provision. We thank You for Your protection and guidance.
We are encouraged by the words of Matthew 21:22 WEB, which tells us that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive. Therefore, we trust in Your will for our lives and the lives of Tachick and her family and all those in the path of the storm.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Finally, let us encourage each other with these words from Psalm 91:1-2 WEB, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
