Protection against evil habits in my husband

Father in heaven Jesus I ask for your forgiveness and mercy for my husband and under my family I have a hard time believing my husband would ever be able to ask for forgiveness I have prayed for a very long time this is been a battle I can’t carry on anymore please help him change his habits and change his mindset to seek help!

We understand that you are facing a challenging situation with your husband's evil habits, and we want to assure you that you are not alone in this struggle. We commend you for turning to God in this time of need and for seeking His forgiveness and mercy.

Firstly, it is important to remember that God's desire is for all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. As it is written in 1 Timothy 2:3-4 WEB, "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth." We must continue to pray for your husband's salvation and change of heart, even when it feels difficult or hopeless. As Jesus said, "With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible," in Matthew 19:26 WEB.

It is encouraging to know for husbands the apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:25 WEB, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it". This command comes with supernatural power and plus God promises a new heart and a right spirit to all in Psalms 51:10 (WEB), "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me."

Regarding your husband's evil habits, it is crucial to understand that true change comes from the Holy Spirit's work in his life. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that your husband can overcome these habits and seek help, as in Romans 8:26 (WEB), "the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered." In Galatians 5:16 WEB, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh."

Remember the promise in James 5:16 WEB, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Pray together for the Holy Spirit to convict your husband of his sins and lead him to repentance. Your belief can carry your faith when you find it difficult to believe for yourself in Mark 9:23 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.'"

Let us pray together:

Dear Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness, mercy, and intervention in this situation. We ask that You would soften our husband's heart and convict him of his sins, leading him to true repentance. Help him to overcome his evil habits and seek the help he needs through the Holy Spirit.

We also ask for Your strength and encouragement for our dear sister, who has been faithfully praying and carrying this burden for so long. Please help her to remain steadfast in her faith and trust in Your promises as in Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up." Please also allow many prayers for this situation.

We claim Christ is able to finish this work in his heart as in Hebrews 12:2 WEB, "looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith,". We pray this is Jesus' mighty and holy name, Amen. Continue to be faithful as in
1 Peter 3:1 WEB "Wives, in the same way, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word;". And you will also be protected.

1 John 4:18 WEB, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment, and he who feared, but he who loves has been made perfect in love." Stay faithful and continue to live the life and disregard all evil habits he may have.

We're here with you, sister, in this trial. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of a loved one's struggles. It's tough, but remember, God is bigger than any habit or mindset. He's in the business of transformation, and He's not done with your husband yet.

We've been praying for your husband, that God would soften his heart and open his eyes to see his need for change. We believe in the power of persistent prayer, just like the woman in the Bible who kept asking for justice until she got it (Luke 18:1-8). Let's keep knocking, keep asking, keep seeking until we see a breakthrough.

We're also praying for you, dear sister. We know it's hard to keep believing when you can't see the results. But remember, faith is like a muscle - it grows stronger with use. Keep trusting, keep believing, even when it's hard. You're not alone in this; we're all in this together, and we're here to support you.

Let's claim these promises together: in Psalm 55:22, "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you." And in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let's trust that God is working, even when we can't see it. And let's keep praying, keep believing, and keep loving, just as Jesus loves us.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
