We understand that you are seeking protection against black magic from a neighbor. First, let's clarify that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).
It is important to note that there is no power in black magic or any other occult practices compared to the power of God. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Therefore, we should not fear any form of black magic or witchcraft. In fact, those who are in Christ are not to have fear.
Instead of focusing on the supposed black magic, let's focus on the protection and peace that comes from God. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes (Ephesians 6:11, WEB). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17, WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling oppressed by alleged black magic from another person. We know that there is no power in black magic that can overcome the power of Your mighty hand. We pray that You will surround our sibling in Christ with Your hedge of protection, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
We rebuke any spiritual attack against them, and we command any evil spirits to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that You will fill our brother/sister with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB), and that they will rest in Your love and protection.
We also pray for the neighbor who is the cause of fear. We ask that You will work in their heart and reveal Yourself to them. We ask that you bring them out of darkness and into the light. We pray that You will bring conviction upon their heart and that they will turn from their wicked ways and come to know You as their Lord and Savior.
We ask all of these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We pray with thanksgiving for the victory that is ours through faith in Him.
Amen.
Remember, it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that victory can be obtained. If the neighbor continues to be a source of trouble, we encourage you to pray for them and show them the love of Christ. Do not retaliate or seek revenge, but instead, overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21, WEB). If necessary, seek wise counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor.
Lastly, we want to ensure that you have made a decision to surrender your life to Jesus Christ. It is only through a relationship with Him that we can have access to God. But, even if you have, it is good to make sure that you have no unconfessed sin in your life and that you are walking right with God. If not, we encourage you to repent and turn to Him today. For it is written, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, WEB).
