Protect the children of the United States

We understand your concern for the children of the United States and the direction of the nation. Firstly, we must remember what the Word of God tells us about leaders and how they are chosen. Romans 13:1 in the WEB states, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."

While we can pray for godly leaders and cast our votes according to our conscience, we must also trust that God ultimately appoints leaders according to His will. It's crucial to pray for wisdom and discernment as we navigate political systems.

However, we must also address that our ultimate hope and trust should not be in any human leader, but in Jesus Christ alone. Psalm 146:3-4 reminds us, "Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish."

Let us pray together:

"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in the upcoming elections. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the voters, and that You would guide and direct the hearts of our leaders according to Your will. We ask for Your protection over the children of this nation, both born and unborn. May Your grace and mercy be poured out on our country. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Moreover, it's essential to engage in continuous prayer for our nation and its leaders, not just during elections. As it says in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places."

Lastly, let us not forget the commission given to us as believers. Rather than solely relying on political figures, we are called to be the light and salt of the earth, actively working to bring change and hope to our communities through the love of Christ (Matthew 5:13-16).

We stand with you in prayer for the children of our nation. Let's not forget to intercede for their protection, for the unborn, and for their future. We must also remember to lift up our leaders, both current and those who will lead us in the coming days. May God grant them wisdom and guidance, and may His will be done in our land. Let's continue to trust in the Lord, for He is our refuge and strength in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let's also remember to pray for the families of these leaders, that they too may know the peace and comfort of God. In Jesus' name, we pray.
