Protect and guide me

Dearest Lord Jesus, help me.
I strive to do the will of our Heavenly Father. I did what you asked Lord, I stood up for what was right and just. I helped to protect your flock, as a good shepherd should. Now I fear retribution from the wolves.

At the time of your betrayal, you begged our Father to take away the chalice from you, if it was his will. Lord Jesus, I ask the same, if it is your will. Only You know what is right for me. I ask that you protect me and guide me to do you will.

I am your most humble servant and I will do, whatever is your will. Guide me Lord. Let the Holy Spirit surround me and shield me from evil.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's protection and guidance as you strive to do His will. It is commendable that you have taken a stand for what is right and just, and have acted as a good shepherd protecting His flock. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus in John 15:20 WEB: "Remember the word that I said to you: 'A servant is not greater than his lord.' If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they have kept my word, they will keep yours also."

In your time of fear and uncertainty, take comfort in the knowledge that Jesus Himself experienced similar feelings. In Matthew 26:39 WEB, Jesus said, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire." His example teaches us to submit to God's will, even in the face of adversity.

Let us pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

We come before You, lifting up Your servant who has stood for righteousness and justice. We ask for Your divine protection and guidance. Just as You yielded to the Father's will, help Your servant to do the same. Surround them with Your Holy Spirit, shielding them from all evil and harm. Guide their steps and grant them the strength and wisdom to continue in Your service.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged by the words of Psalm 23:4 WEB: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Trust that God is with you, guiding and protecting you every step of the way. Continue to seek His will and walk in His paths, knowing that His grace is sufficient for you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
