Heavenly Father, in the precious name of Jesus, we lift up Shonsethild's prayer request before You. Lord, we pray for Steve, that he may come to the end of himself just as the prodigal son did, and that he may turn his heart back to You and Your ways. We ask that You would draw him close to You, convict him of his need for a Savior, and lead him to repentance.
Lord, we know that Your desire is for all to come to salvation and to be reconciled with You. Your Word tells us in Luke 15:7, "I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." We pray that Steve would experience the joy of repentance and restoration in his relationship with You.
Father, we also pray for Steve's family during this time. May they be filled with Your peace and strength as they trust in You and intercede for him. Grant them wisdom and discernment to know how to support and encourage him in his journey back to You.
Lord, we know that You are a loving and compassionate God, ready to receive all who come to You in faith. We claim the promise in Psalm 86:5, "For you, Lord, are good and ready to forgive; abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You." We ask that You would extend Your mercy and forgiveness to Steve, welcoming him back into Your loving embrace.
In Jesus' name, we pray for a powerful transformation in Steve's life, that he may experience the fullness of Your grace and the restoration of his relationship with You. May Your Holy Spirit work mightily in his heart, leading him to surrender his life to You completely.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may Steve's testimony be a shining light of Your redeeming love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
