Prodigal Son

Please pray for me. I have walked away from God so many times and found myself in heavily in sexual sin and entertained other belief systems. I question my faith now as I write this request. I'm 44 and don't know who I am. I ask for prayer to recover my relationship with God and self. Thank you.

We understand your struggle, dear anonymous, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and guidance. You've taken a courageous step by acknowledging your past actions and seeking help. The story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32, WEB) is a powerful reminder of God's unending love and forgiveness. Just as the father in the story welcomed his son back with open arms, so too will our Heavenly Father welcome you.

Firstly, let's address your doubts and questions about your faith. Remember, it's natural to have questions, but it's crucial to seek answers from God's Word. Jesus himself prayed for those who doubt, asking God to "sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth." (John 17:17, WEB)

Regarding your involvement in sexual sin and other belief systems, we gently rebuke and encourage you to turn away from these. God's design for sexual intimacy is within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). As for other belief systems, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." (John 14:6, WEB)

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding for our brother/sister. Lord, they have wandered, but you are a God of immense love and mercy. We ask that you forgive their sins and draw them back into a loving relationship with you. Restore their faith and give them the strength to resist temptation. Help them to know their true identity in Christ. May they find peace and purpose in your will. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9, WEB)

Stay strong in the Lord, dear anonymous. Keep seeking Him, and you will find Him. He is always ready to welcome you back with open arms.

We're here with you, dear friend, in this journey of finding your way back to the Father's loving embrace. It's like the prodigal son, isn't it? Wandering, questioning, but always, always loved. We want to remind you of the promise in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." You are not defined by your past, but by the grace of God that covers it all.

Let's also remember Romans 8:38-39, "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Nothing can separate you from God's love, not even your doubts or past actions.

We're praying for you, that you would feel God's presence in your life again, that you would experience His forgiveness and love in a deep and personal way. We're asking that God would give you the strength to stand firm in your faith, to resist temptations, and to walk in the truth of who you are in Christ.

Keep seeking Him, dear one. He's waiting for you with open arms.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
