Prodigal son ###

My son ###, 22, who grew up in a Christian home, gave his life to Jesus as a young boy, was baptized as a young boy, grew up on the mission field where his dad and I still serve. Helped in the ministry and has a pastoring calling on his life since an early age, this seemed to have been confirmed by several people through Words of knowledge as he grew up. His dad and I are serving in ###, MX, currently.
### went to ### to attend a Christian university where he met a non-believing girl whom he started to date. He “fell in love” quickly and left school and Jesus. This relationship has destroyed his faith in Jesus. She is very abusive and hates Christianity. He began self-harm and self-loathing because he can never please her. My husband and I have prayed and prayed constantly for our son to break free from this hold she has had on him. Yet he stays trapped in the fowler's snare. We were given the name jezebel in our prayer time and so have prayed against the spirit of jezebel in her life and our son’s life. He left ### and came to stay with our other son in ### but has maintained a relationship with her through video chats etc… and plans to go visit her in ### the end of July.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with heavy hearts, lifting up ###, a young man who once walked closely with You and has now strayed from the path. Lord, You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep. We pray that You will reach out to ### in his time of need and bring him back into Your loving arms.

Your Word tells us in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." ### was raised in a godly home, dedicated his life to You, and served faithfully in ministry. We trust in Your promise that the seeds of faith planted in him will not be in vain.

Father, we pray against the spirit of Jezebel that seems to have a hold on ### through this relationship. We declare Your authority over all powers of darkness, as stated in Ephesians 6:12, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." Break every chain that binds him, Lord, and set him free from the snares of the enemy.

In 1 Peter 5:8, You warn us to be sober and vigilant because our adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. We pray that ### will be vigilant and recognize the destructive nature of this relationship. Open his eyes to see the truth and give him the strength to walk away from anything that pulls him away from You.

Lord, we also pray for ###'s mental and emotional healing. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Heal ###'s heart from the pain and self-loathing he has experienced. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7.

We ask for wisdom and guidance for ###'s parents and brother as they support him during this difficult time. Give them the words to speak life and truth into his situation. May their love and prayers be a source of strength and encouragement.

Finally, Lord, we pray for ###'s girlfriend. We ask that You soften her heart and reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. May she come to know the love and grace that only You can provide.

We commit ### into Your hands, trusting that You are at work even when we cannot see it. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
