My son Gavin, 22, who grew up in a Christian home, gave his life to Jesus as a young boy, was baptized as a young boy, grew up on the mission field where his dad and I still serve. Helped in the ministry and has a pastoring calling on his life since an early age, this calling seemed to have been confirmed by several people through Words of knowledge as he grew up. His dad and I are serving in Oaxaca, MX, currently.
Gavin went to CA to attend a Christian university where he met a non believing girl whom he started to date. He “fell in love” quickly and left school and Jesus. This relationship has destroyed his faith in Jesus. She is very abusive, narcissistic, and hates Christianity. He began self harm and self loathing because he can never please her. My husband and I have prayed and prayed constantly for our son to break free from this hold she has had on him. Yet he stays trapped in the fowlers snare. We were given the name jezebel in our prayer time and so have prayed against the spirit of jezebel in her life and our son’s life. He left CA and came to stay with our other son in CO but has maintained a relationship with her through video chats, visits etc…he has blocked us from his social media and all but ignores our texts.
My husband and I are here now in CO visiting for a few weeks. Please pray for our time here with Gavin and our other son, Garret. We need God’s Wisdom.

We understand your heartache and concern for your son Gavin, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring restoration and freedom.

Firstly, let's remember the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB), "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." As you humble yourselves before God, He hears your cries and is faithful to act.

We must also remember the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. Like the father in the parable, our Heavenly Father waits with open arms for Gavin to return to Him. We pray that Gavin will come to his senses, just as the prodigal son did, and return to the loving embrace of his Father.

However, we must address the issue of Gavin's unequally yoked relationship, which goes against biblical principles. 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB) warns, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" We pray that Gavin will find the strength to break free from this relationship and trust that God has a better plan for his life.

Let's also pray against the spirit of Jezebel, which has been influencing Gavin and his girlfriend. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke this spirit and command it to leave their lives. We proclaim the promise in Isaiah 49:25 (WEB), "For I, Yahweh, am your Savior, the Holy One of Israel. I will give Egypt as your ransom. I will give Ethiopia and Seba for you. Since you are precious in my sight, since you are honored, and I love you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life." God loves Gavin more than we can comprehend and has a plan to redeem this situation.

Lastly, we pray for your time with Gavin and Garret in Colorado. May God grant you wisdom, discernment, and the right words to speak to minister to Gavin's heart. Remember the promise in James 1:5 (WEB), "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Gavin and his parents to You. Lord, we ask that You break the chains that bind Gavin and draw him back to You. Grant his parents wisdom and strength as they navigate this challenging time. In Jesus' name, we pray, believing that You are faithful to act. Amen.

Keep holding on to hope and faith. Our God is a miracle-working God, and He cares deeply for you and your family.

Yes sis I am praying with you, you shall overcome for His glory , in His time and will in Jesus Name Amen

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
