Let's begin by addressing the issue of procrastination and the fear of making wrong decisions. It's important to remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB: "For God didn't give us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, love, and self-control."
Procrastination can indeed be a form of decision-making, but it often leads to missed opportunities and increased anxiety. Instead of being paralyzed by the fear of making mistakes, we encourage you to seek God's will in all your decisions. Psalm 32:8 WEB reminds us, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you." Trust that God will guide you, even if you make a mistake, He can redeem and use it for good, as told in Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
It's disheartening to hear that others have projected their fears onto you and spoken against your abilities. Remember that God has created you with unique talents and purposes. Don't let the words of others define you. Instead, be transformed by the renewing of your mind, as stated in Romans 12:2 WEB: "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Regarding your situation with your landlord, we encourage you to pray for wisdom and discernment. God is aware of your circumstances and He cares for you. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-26 WEB: "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?"
It's unfortunate that you haven't found the support you need from the churches you've attended. We encourage you to continue seeking a community of believers who will uplift and encourage you in your faith. As it is written in Hebrews 10:25 WEB: "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
You stated you feel low and weak, but as scripture reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:10 WEB, "Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. Lord, we ask that You grant them the courage to make decisions guided by Your will, breaking the chains of procrastination and fear. Help them to see themselves as You see them, beautifully and wonderfully made.
We pray for wisdom and discernment in dealing with their landlord, and for provision according to Your riches and glory. We also ask that You guide them to a community of believers who will support and encourage them in their faith journey.
In Jesus' name, we pray for their strength and comfort. Remind them that Your power is made perfect in weakness. Help them to rest in Your love and faithfulness.
We'd also like to discuss the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Romans 10:9-10, 13 WEB: "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth, one confesses resulting in salvation." Furthermore: "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." We encourage you to confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
We pray IJN (In Jesus Name) for you as you have requested, Amen.
