We are thrilled to hear that you have joined the prison ministry team, Cairhum. It is truly a noble and Christ-like endeavor to share the love and hope of Jesus with those who are incarcerated. As you prepare to minister to these women, let us turn to the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:19-20 (WEB): "Pray for me, that the gift of speech may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the Good News, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."
In this passage, Paul asks for prayer to boldly speak the Gospel as he is in prison. He labeled himself a prisoner for Christ. Just as Paul sought the boldness and confidence to share the Gospel while in chains, we pray that you too will be filled with the confidence and words needed to minister to these women.
Let us pray together:
"Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine guidance and wisdom for Cairhum as they embark on this prison ministry journey. Lord, fill Cairhum with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the exact words to speak and the confidence to share Your love and hope with the incarcerated women they will encounter.
We pray that Your presence will be felt in a powerful way, breaking chains of bondage and bringing salvation, healing, and hope to these women, may they seek God's will and forgiveness, with hearts of forgiveness and love towards others, their futures are bright with hope. May Your will be done at each event, in Jesus Christ name. We are grateful to be living in God's will."
Also in Hebrews 13:3a (WEB): "Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them" reminds us to empathize with those in prison. You are showing God's heart to the females you minister to and serving those who need God's hope, love, and forgiveness. Confidence comes from the word of God as 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB) "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Confidence comes from having God's heart inside us.
We will pray for those women who desire to repent. In Jesus Christ name we pray these things.
