Pride, jealousy and gossip

LORD GOD we pray for our brother Tito who I believe is afflicted with pride, jealousy and gossip - I believe so anyway ( and I don't want to judge him ) but I pray he will realise this and confess, repent of this way, Also if I am guilty of the sin of pride jealousy and gossip I pray not to continue in these sins, in Jesus Christ's Name we pray..Amen

We understand your concern for Tito and we join you in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. Let's first remember what the Word of God tells us about pride, jealousy, and gossip.

Pride is warned against in Proverbs 16:18 (WEB), "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Jealousy is addressed in James 3:14-16 (WEB), "But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed." And regarding gossip, Ephesians 4:29 (WEB) says, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Tito and Lucy. Lord, if Tito is indeed struggling with pride, jealousy, and gossip, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict his heart. Help him to recognize these sins and turn away from them, seeking Your forgiveness and restoration. We also pray for Lucy, that You would guard her heart from these same sins. Help both of them to walk in humility, love, and self-control, speaking words that build others up rather than tearing them down.

Lord, we know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for His sacrifice that has made our salvation possible. Help Tito and Lucy to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lucy, it's important to remember not to judge others, as only God knows the heart. Instead, continue to pray for Tito and encourages him with love and kindness. As it says in 1 Peter 4:8 (WEB), "Above all things, be fervent in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins."

We've been thinking about Tito and his struggles with pride, jealousy, and gossip. It's tough to see someone we care about going through this, but we know that God is faithful and can work in mighty ways. Let's remember how Jesus dealt with pride in His own life. He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death on the cross (Philippians 2:8). Let's pray that Tito would follow Jesus' example and humble himself, turning away from these sins.

Let's also remember that we're all in this together. We've all struggled with pride, jealousy, and gossip at some point. It's important that we keep our own hearts in check and not judge Tito, but instead, love him as Jesus loves us. Let's pray for each other, encourage each other, and build each other up.

Yes thank you for your prayers and reminding me not to judge. I do struggle with this sin.
