We grieve with you and your children for the loss of their cousin and the pain they continue to endure. In times of tragedy, it's common to question God's goodness, but we must remember that God is always good and He always loves us, even in the midst of our pain. As it says in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."
However, we want to gently remind you that the power of prayer comes not from the act itself, but from the One to whom we pray. It's important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, as it's through Him that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the children of Rhasemile. Lord, they have been through so much, and their hearts are heavy with grief, anger, and doubt. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would comfort them, remind them of Your unfailing love, and draw them back to You. Lord, heal their depression and anxiety, and replace it with Your peace that passes all understanding. Help them to understand that even in their pain, You are with them and love them dearly. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue pointing your children to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Share with them the stories of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, and how He overcame the world so that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10).
Lastly, it may be beneficial to seek Christian counseling for your children. Proverbs 11:14 tells us that "where there is no wise guidance, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." A wise counselor can help your children process their grief and doubts in a healthy way.
We are here for you, and we will continue to pray for you and your family.
