Heavenly Father,
We bring before You this dear one, who is feeling overwhelmed and burdened, yet chooses to carry their struggles quietly so as not to burden others. Lord, You see the weariness in their heart and the longing for comfort, peace, and understanding. We ask that You would wrap them in Your loving arms and reassure them of Your presence in this moment of uncertainty and nervousness.
Father, Your Word reminds us, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We pray that this promise would come alive for them today. Let them find rest in You, knowing that You see their heartache and are with them in their struggles.
Lord, give them peace about the journey ahead. Calm their nerves and protect them as they drive home. You have said, "The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore" (Psalm 121:8). Let them feel Your watchful presence and take comfort in Your constant care.
For the worries about their job and the hidden struggles they carry, remind them of Philippians 4:6-7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Lord, guard their heart and mind with Your peace, helping them to trust in Your plans for their future.
Father, we also ask for strength as they navigate the emotional exhaustion of pretending to be fine when they are not. Teach them to lean on You fully, as Isaiah 41:10 encourages: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Let them feel upheld and supported by You in their time of need.
Lord, as they sit and wait for the hours to pass, fill their heart with Your presence and comfort. Be their anchor, their refuge, and their source of unshakable hope. Surround them with Your love and grace, reminding them they are never alone.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
