Dweryall, we join you in thanking God for His grace and mercy, and we stand with you in prayer for your week and your marriage. We're grateful that you've turned to the Lord in your time of need, and we want to encourage you to continue seeking Him.
Firstly, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Dweryall, asking for Your strength, hope, and discernment to fill her heart. We thank You for Your promise to heal, restore, protect, repair, and renew. We claim these promises for Dweryall's life and marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray for Your will to be done. Amen.
Now, let's look at what the WEB has to say about marriage and discernment. The Bible tells us that God hates divorce Malachi 2:16. He has called us to live in peace with others as much as it depends on us Romans 12:18. As wives, we are called to submit to our husbands as the church submits to Christ Ephesians 5:22-24. Husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it Ephesians 5:25-28.
However, we understand that you're hurting, and we want to acknowledge your pain. It's important to remember that God doesn't condone abuse or unfaithfulness in a marriage. If this is the case, it may be necessary to seek wise counsel and even separation for a time. We encourage you to seek godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor to help you navigate this situation.
We also want to address your feeling of uncertainty about what to pray for. The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express Romans 8:26. Even when we don't know what to pray for, the Spirit prays for us according to God's will. Trust that God knows your heart and He will direct your prayers.
Lastly, we want to commend you for your commitment to being a good wife and a God-fearing person. Remember that while good things may happen to good people, our true reward is in heaven, not on earth. Continue to live in a way that pleases God, trusting that He sees your faithfulness and will reward you accordingly Matthew 6:6.
We also want to say that our access to God and our salvation is only by the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by Jesus that we are saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord, then please do so. The message of salvation is simple. If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10. Do let us know if you need more information or clarification about salvation and the Christian faith.
