We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage, Dweryall, and we appreciate that you've reached out for prayer and support. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and can be saved. As it is written, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Firstly, we want to encourage you to stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:10-12 WEB).
The breakdown of a marriage is a heartbreaking event, but it is not the end of the story. God is still at work, and He can restore and redeem even the most broken situations. As you pray for your husband's heart and mind, remember that God is the one who changes hearts. He can turn the hardest heart of stone into a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26 WEB).
However, we must also remind you that while God can do the impossible, He does not force anyone to change. Your husband has free will, and he must choose to seek God and reconciliation. Your role is to pray, to trust God, and to be open to restoration if that is what God desires.
We also encourage you to examine your own heart and life, Dweryall. As it is written, "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye? Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and behold, the beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye" (Matthew 7:3-5 WEB).
Now, let us pray together for you and your husband:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Dweryall and her husband. Lord, You see the pain and the struggle. You know the depths of the sadness and the spiritual warfare that is being waged against this marriage.
We pray, Father, that You would intervene. That You would soften her husband's heart and turn it towards You and towards his wife. We pray that You would give Dweryall the strength and the hope to face these storms, knowing that You are with her every step of the way.
Help her to put on the whole armor of God, to stand firm in the faith, and to trust in Your unfailing love. Guide her steps, Lord, and give her the wisdom and discernment she needs to navigate this difficult time.
We pray for restoration and reconciliation, Lord, if it is Your will. But above all, we pray that both Dweryall and her husband would draw closer to You, seeking Your face and Your will for their lives.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
