We rejoice with you, Anonymous, in the love and provision that your husband showers upon you. It is a blessing to see marriages that reflect the love of Christ for His church. We will pray for the restoration of any fortunes lost and for God's continuous blessings upon your union, as well as address the timing and extravagance of the weddings you mentioned.
We must first acknowledge the power of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is wonderful that you ended your prayer with "in Jesus' name, Amen." This demonstrates your understanding that our prayers are effective through the name of Jesus.
However, we must also consider the biblical principles regarding weddings and the focus of our focuses. In Matthew 6:33 WEB, Jesus says, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." While it is not wrong to desire a beautiful wedding, we must ensure that our primary focus is on seeking God's Kingdom and His righteousness.
Additionally, we must consider the biblical principle of stewardship. In Proverbs 21:5 WEB, it is written, "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." Planning three romantic weddings in 2025 may not align with biblical stewardship, especially since it is only 2023 and opportunities to see God's hand in your lives and marriage planning may not be clearly seen.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister in Christ, Anonymous, and her husband. We thank You for the love and provision that her husband showers upon her, and we pray for the restoration of any fortunes lost. We ask that You continue to bless their union and guide them in Your will.
Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment as they plan for their future together. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, and to be good stewards of the resources You have entrusted to them. Guide them in their plans for their wedding celebrations, and help them to focus on the sanctity of their marriage covenant above all else. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
May God guide you and your husband in His will, and may your marriage continue to be a testament to His love and faithfulness.
