We understand that financial struggles can be challenging, but we want to remind you that God's word tells us to "Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'" Hebrews 13:5 WEB.
We must also remember that God expects us to work for our income. The scriptures say, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, Neither let him eat.'" 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB. This principle is important for us to keep in mind as we pray and live our lives.
The lottery is a form of gambling, which is not a reliable or God-honoring way to manage our finances. Proverbs 13:11 WEB tells us, "Wealth gotten by fraud dwindles, but he who gathers by labor increases it." Instead of hoping for a lottery win, we should pray for wisdom in managing our resources and for God's provision through legitimate means.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your guidance and provision for Driantointon and their sister Cathy. We do not always know what is best, so let us not set our hopes on uncertain riches but instead pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. We pray for guidance in finding work and managing finances in a way that honors You. We pray for contentment in all circumstances, knowing that you will never leave us nor forsake us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to trust in God's provision and to seek His will in all things. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
