Jantancel, we hear your cry for a change in genotype for Faith and Samuel. However, we must align our prayers and understanding with God's will and His word. It's crucial to note that God has created each of us uniquely, and our genetic makeup is a part of that creation. There's no biblical basis for praying for a change in physical traits such as genotype. Instead, the Bible teaches us to trust in God's design and purpose for our lives.
Let's remember what the apostle Paul says in Romans 9:20-21 (WEB), "For who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?' Doesn't the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?"
Rather than praying for a change in genotype, let's pray for God's strength, protection, and wisdom for Faith and Samuel to live healthy, abundant lives regardless of their genotype. We pray that they will trust in God's plan and purpose for their lives.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your will for Faith and Samuel. We pray that You will grant them the serenity to accept the things they cannot change, the courage to change the things they can, and the wisdom to know the difference. We ask for Your divine protection and strength to be upon them, that they may live healthy and prosperous lives, according to Your will. Help them to trust in Your plan and purpose for their lives, knowing that You make all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to meditate on the promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God has a good purpose for Faith and Samuel, regardless of their genotype.
Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as He Himself taught in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
