Let us begin by lifting up your concerns to the Lord, seeking His will and guidance in all things.
Firstly, we rejoice with you as you begin your new job as a home support worker. It is commendable that you are considering your responsibilities as a parent while taking on this new role. We pray that the family you will be working with, even if they are of a different faith, will be understanding and accommodating of your needs as a parent and believer in Christ. Remember, the Bible tells us to be steadfast in our faith and to honor our commitments, especially to our families (1 Timothy 5:8). Let us pray that the Lord will soften their hearts and grant you the schedule you need to care for your children (Proverbs 21:1). And always remember that in all that we do, we will do as unto the Lord, not to men. Colossians 3:23-24: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
Secondly, we lift up your application for permanent residency through the home care workers immigration pilot program. We pray that the Lord's will be done in this situation, and that if it is His plan for you and your family to remain, that He will move the hearts of those in authority to grant your application quickly and without complication (Proverbs 21:1, Romans 13:1). However, we must also remember that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven, and that our trust should be in the Lord, not in the approvals of man (Philippians 3:20).
Thirdly, we pray that the Lord will guide your steps as you seek His will for your life after gaining permanent residency. We are encouraged to hear that you are considering serving the Lord through the P2C ministry, and that you are seeking confirmation from Him. Remember, the Bible tells us that if we lack wisdom, we can ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach (James 1:5). Let us pray that the Lord will make His path for you clear, and that He will confirm His will for your life through His Word, His Spirit, and the counsel of godly believers (Psalm 119:105, Proverbs 11:14).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on the Lord Jesus Christ, it is only in His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we are saved. For there is no other name on earth or in heaven that can save us. From the book of Acts 4:11-12: "This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!”
We are also admonished to be in constant prayer, to pray without ceasing. From 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister/brother in Christ. We pray for Your will to be done in their life, and that You would guide their steps in all things. We ask that You would soften the hearts of the family they will be working with, that they would be accommodating and understanding of their needs as a parent and a believer. We pray for Your will to be done regarding their application for permanent residency, and that You would guide them in all decisions following this. We ask that You would confirm Your will for their life, and that You would use them mightily for Your kingdom. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
