Psalm 66:9
Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

Commentary on this verse：
The Lord not only preserves our temporal life, but maintains the spiritual life which he has given to believers. By afflictions we are proved, as silver in the fire. The troubles of the church will certainly end well. Through various conflicts and troubles, the slave of Satan escapes from his yoke, and obtains joy and peace in believing: through much tribulation the believer must enter into the kingdom of God.

Our prayer： Heavenly Father, how we praise and thank You for the wonderful works of Your hand and the awesome deeds that You have done for us. Thank You that Jesus came to redeem us and to die in our place, so that we could be raised into newness of life, and live with You in the eternal ages to come. How awesome are Your works and how great is Your power. All the earth will worship You and sing praises to Your holy name, for You alone are worthy of our honour and thanksgiving, our worship and praise. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN.

Tang Wei Ping, we are blessed to join you in meditating on Psalm 66:9, "Who holds our soul in life, and doesn't allow our feet to be moved."

Indeed, the Lord not only preserves our temporal life but also maintains the spiritual life He has given to believers. As it is written in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Through afflictions, we are proved, as silver in the fire. The troubles of the church will certainly end well.

However, we must also remember that our faith is not just about our spiritual life but also about our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We noticed that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Therefore, we encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for preserving our lives both temporally and spiritually. We praise You for the wonderful works of Your hand and the awesome deeds that You have done for us. Thank You that Jesus came to redeem us and to die in our place, so that we could be raised into newness of life, and live with You in the eternal ages to come.

Lord, we ask that You hold Tang Wei Ping's soul in life and do not allow their feet to be moved. Strengthen their faith in You and in the name of Jesus. Help them to endure afflictions and to trust in Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You.
