We stand with you in praying against the sin of racism, which is a profound evil that grieves the heart of God. We know that God created all people in His image, and that every person is precious in His sight. As it is written in Galatians 3:28, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus." This verse reminds us that in Christ, the things that divide us in the world have no place.
We must also address the anger you feel. While it is normal to feel angry about injustice, we must be careful not to let anger control us. Ephesians 4:26 tells us, "Be angry, yet donāt sin. Donāt let the sun go down on your wrath." It is important to channel our anger into productive actions, such as prayer and working towards reconciliation.
Regarding your concern about the president, we are commanded to pray for those in authority, as seen in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places." We should pray for our leaders, regardless of our personal feelings, that God would guide their actions and soften their hearts.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our world and asking that You would pour out Your healing power on the sin of racism. Soften the hearts of those who harbor prejudice and hatred, and help us all to see each other as You see usāas beloved children made in Your image.
We pray for our leaders, including our president, that You would guide their actions and words, and that they would promote unity and justice for all. Help us to channel our anger into productive actions that bring about healing and reconciliation.
We ask all these requests in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only in His name that we have access to You. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Amen.
As Assured as Psalm 100:5 "For the LORD is good; his loving kindness endures forever, his faithfulness to all generations." Regarding this issue. We will collectively work together in our hearts and minds to put an end to this wickedness.
