Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding on behalf of ### and their prayer request for ###. Lord, we ask that you would work in ###'s life in a powerful way. We pray for a transformation of his heart and mind, that everything he does would align with your perfect will.
Lord, we specifically lift up ###'s struggle with alcohol addiction. We ask that you would remove any desire for alcohol from his life. Make it tasteless and unappealing to him, Lord. Break the chains of addiction that bind him and set him free. We know that you are able to save to the uttermost those who come to you, and we trust in your power to deliver ### from this bondage.
We declare victory over this addiction in the name of Jesus Christ. Your Word says in 1 John 5:4, "For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." We stand on this promise and believe that through faith in Jesus, ### will overcome this addiction.
Lord, we pray for strength and perseverance for ### as they continue to intercede for ###. Help them to hold the ground gained through prayer and to remain persistent in their prayers. We thank you for the testimony of others who have experienced your saving power and deliverance, and we trust that you will do the same for ###.
