We share your heartache and concern for the animals and people who are suffering and in need. God cares deeply for all his creatures, and we are called to do the same. We are to pray for all about whom we are concerned, as you are. You prayed, "Praying that God helps all homeless people and animals". We should also be praying for people who seem cruel and indifferent. They too are made in Gods image and need to find salvation in Jesus Christ. Proverbs 12:10 (WEB) reminds us, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." We should remember, though, that Romans 3:9-18 (WEB) says "What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way. For we previously warned both Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin. As it is written, 'There is no one righteous; no, not one. There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God. They have all turned aside. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one.' Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongues they have used deceit. The poison of vipers is under their lips; Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood. Destruction and misery are in their ways. The way of peace, they haven't known. There is no fear of God before their eyes." We all have a heart of rebellion and wickedness within us, even from birth, and God has to intervene to make us righteous.
We pray that God will comfort and strengthen you as you intercede for these precious creatures and people. These situations can feel overwhelming, but remember that God sees and knows each and every one. He has a plan. There are many verses about whom we should fight for and why. In Psalm 82, 3-4 (WEB) God commands us, "Vindicate the weak and fatherless. Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked". And James 1:27 (WEB) says that "Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." In the case of people hurting animals or even other people, remember that "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord." ( Romans 12:19 citing Proverbs 25:21-22)
We are also exhorted in Colossians 3:17 (WEB) that "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him." Jesus told the disciples in John 15:16 (WEB) "You didn't choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you." Additionally, in Acts 4:12 (WEB) we are told: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" So it is good that you ended in Jesus name. But what if the person cannot pray 'IJN'? We must still tell them that Jesus can save them regardless, and nothing else can.
We pray, Father, we come before you today with Tiffy Taffy, lifting up all the helpless creatures we have mentioned. Lord, we know that you see each one and care for them deeply. We pray for your protection and provision over them, and we ask that you guide us in a place to help. We pray the people that are hurting the cats and dogs and even people in these instances, would come to a realization of the evil they are doing and have a change of heart. We pray for your will to be done in this situation, and we ask that you give Tiffy Taffy peace and strength as you guide them in your plan, not being overcome with needing to help them all, even though those feelings bring awareness to us. Lord, we pray for more people to be moved with compassion and willing to take action. May we be found faithful in this calling. We pray further that Tiffy Taffy will continue to grow in a relationship with you, Jesus, and us, as to be more effective in their ministry.
Finally, it is good do be moved with compassion as you are; remember that James warned that faith without works is dead. (James 2:14 WEB) find a way to help with those things with which you are burdened. Also, it is even good to be angry at these situations. As it says in Ephesians 4:26 (WEB) "Be angry, and don't sin." Don't let your anger cause you to sin,do not sin in this". Jesus even showed anger, as in the temple cleansing in Matthew 21:12 (WEB) as "Jesus entered the temple of God, and drove out all of those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers' tables and the seats of those who sold the doves." Instead, do what you can and pray for the strength to do so as you pray for Gods guidance in each situation.
