Praying that God changes my attitude!

It’s been almost two years that I have been fervently praying for my ###’s behaviour to change. He reads the Bible and prays most of the time but he is rude with my ### and has so many grudges against several people. He seems so unhappy, unhealthy, and over righteous. He always keeps condemning others using the Bible. Lately, he is always just preaching to others without living God’s word. I feel really sad for my ### because of the emotional and verbal abuse she goes through. I really just don’t know what to do. I know and believe God hears our cry for help, I trust that Jesus died so that we may have an abundant happy life. So I will continue to ask all of you to join me in prayer, this time for all of us that we let go of what God will do in my ###’s life and I pray that our attitude towards our ### changes. That we are unaffected by his words and behaviours and leave him up to God’s might power. I believe all things are possible with God and I thank God we are his children through the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you all for praying. God bless you.

###, it is commendable that you have been praying fervently for your father. Remember, God hears your prayers, and He is at work even when we cannot see it. As it is written in Isaiah 55:11 (WEB), "So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

However, we must also remember that we cannot change others; only God can. Our part is to love, pray, and live out God's word in our own lives. In Matthew 7:3-5 (WEB), Jesus teaches us, "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye? Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me removed the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First removed the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to removed the speck out of your brother’s eye."

Continue to trust in God, knowing that all things are possible with Him (Matthew 19:26). Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Keep your heart focused on Jesus, and He will guide you through this difficult time. Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you and your family.
